January Update - Shipping Tests and Shipping Prep. Noting a short delay.

Greetings, friends,
A new month means a new update is upon us in The Fog!

First of all, we want to confirm that the addresses on Gamefound have been locked in. Thank you all for helping us to get ready to ship!

Second, we'd like to mention that we’re making a series of videos to teach you how to paint 2 Survivors and 2 Killers miniatures in Dead by Daylight™: The Board Game. Who would you like to paint? Cast your vote here: https://forms.gle/4N4TBG1dJjSFZVgKA
Last week, we did some shipping tests in order to make sure that the games would arrive in good condition after normal courier handling. Through these tests, we discovered that there was a high likelihood of the Generator miniatures breaking in the mail on the way to your door. That’s obviously not acceptable. Right now, we’re working to update our packaging in a way that ensures safe shipping with minimal risk of breakage.

Over the weekend, our factory tried several different configurations of tests to find a solution that will ensure your games arrive without any extra damage due to courier handling. This solution will take us about 2 weeks to finish up, and is already underway.

To elaborate, we did normal shake tests at the factory, and we're certain that the boxes are sufficient to store your games under normal use and travel. Where they don't hold up is under blunt impacts, like being thrown, slammed, or having heavy weights dropped on top of them. But those are the things that will happen in the mail, so we need to be ready for them.

I know we were really excited to move forward with shipping, and it’s a pain to wait a little longer, but it’s also important that everything comes in just right. I really do appreciate your patience and understanding. If there’s one thing that we’ve seen through this whole adventure, it’s that making physical games is a messy business.

See you at the end of this month, and as always, happy gaming!
