It's been another week of steady work, and I have plenty of new progress to share with you! If you’re just joining us for the first time, and wondering what this is all about, here’s a link to see BattleCON: Unleashed, our big project last year that we’re getting closer to fulfilling day by day.
I worked on Devastation Remastered for most of the holiday weekend, getting in 10-12 hours per day over the 3-day weekend, and managed to get most of the game into the proof stage. We're now reviewing everything formally to prepare for press for this large game.
To clean up loose ends in the Dungeon and Mode Guide, I created new sets of EX, Almighty, and Beta Bases. These alternate Bases allow you to play BattleCON in a new way! Check them out:
Of course, there are also many more parts to this book. All the boss cards, all the arena cards, and of course tuckboxes for the bosses, punch boards for the bits and pieces... it's been quite a weekend over here! XD
There's loads more boring production stuff to show off, but I'll spare you that for now and get on to the cool artwork! :D
Character Preview: Rheye
We've had Rheye's character art for a while, but we just got her background in last week. Here's how she'll appear for her BattleCON debut! Who is Rheye? She's actually a major villain in Argent: the Consortium (BGG Link), another game by Level 99 Games which takes place in the World of Indines. Argent is sold out in most places, but we are currently in the process of reprinting it.

We've gotten most of the production components for Devastation Remastered Edition finished up. Punchboards, the game's new box (taller, to support the tuckboxes that take up a bit more space than first edition), and most of the fighter cards.
The content creation that we planned to have done last week (the writing for the character books) is unfortunately taking another week to finish up. The writing team has assured me that it will be finished and edited by this Friday, so that I can put it all together over another working weekend.
Once pre-press checks are finished up on this and other components, we'll be sending those off to press soon. Here's our agenda for this week:
Final testing and lockdown for the final three fighters in Devastation that require more balance (Gaspar, Lesandra, and Oriana).
Full text for the character guides, implemented over the weekend and ready for proofing.
A new game board for Devastation (much like Wanderers' revised gameboard).
Completed proofs for other game components (Styles + Bases, Tuckboxes, Game Box, Quick Start Guide, Transition Guide, Core Rulebook, and Punch Sheets).
Get Promotional Fighters into final playtesting (most are already balanced).
