Millennium Blades X AEGIS

Welcome to Crossover Collusion, a series where we talk about the crossover games featured in the upcoming Millennium Blades Collusion Kickstarter. We’ll take a look at why we love these games, and how they’ve inspired the cards in their respective Millennium Blades sets!

The Game

AEGIS is a battle game of combining robots and strategic battles. Choose your team, deploy your robots, fight against the enemy, and combine to form bigger, more powerful robots!

The simple, clean-cut cell shade art of AEGIS really brings it’s 90’s super-robot anime feel to life.

Why We Love It

AEGIS’s straightforward combat provides a lot of room for strategic depth in team building and choosing how to combine your robots. There’s really no wrong way to play, and the huge variety of robots and combinations means that you can really let your own play style manifest in team compositions. The art is fun and stylish, and reminds me of the super robot anime days of my youth.

Where to Get It

AEGIS has just come out recently, and can now be acquired at Zephyr Workshop’s own store! If you use the code “MBLADES”, you will get $5 off your purchase of AEGIS!

Translating it to Millennium Blades

The AEGIS set is a bigger promo set than usual, at 10 cards. This means we got to create a  few different mechanics for the set that feature the different types of characters.

Combine is a mechanic showcasing the ability of the robots' ability to combine together. Each card with Combine also has an Ongoing effect that lets the player discard attached cards to use actions or prevent the card from being flipped. This gives the Combine cards a lot of staying power so they have time to use their different Action effects multiple times.

Cards with Combine PLUS feature robots that are comprised of other robots. The PLUS ability still lets you attach Constructs to the card, but now the card literally becomes combination of its parts, gaining all the benefits of everything attached. Gather a lot of Constructs and get some crazy combos going.

What better way to gather Constructs than this card? If you happen to not be able to fuse for multiple AEGIS cards, you can always hope for the brigade to dig up some from the Store.

Millennium Blades: Collusion is now on Kickstarter! Come and check it out to get these cards and more!

Special thanks to Zephyr Workshop for allowing us to feature AEGIS Combining Robots in Millennium Blades!
